Who Gets Child Support?

In Ohio, more than one million children are entitled to child support.  The Federal Social Security Act mandates that under Title IV-D each state must have an agency responsible for the development of child support.  In Ohio, the Department of Job & Family Services is the supervising agency.  In Geauga County, both the CSED and the Prosecutor’s Office are responsible for establishing and enforcing child support on behalf of children.
